Members of LIONHARE project attended a one-day workshop organized by the Development Agency of Lassithi, presenting the Project’s major results and participating in a round table discussion on the topic “Coastal environment, coastal threats and fishing”. The event took place on July 13, 2023 in the city of Agios Nikolaos in Crete. The oral presentation, entitled “Invasive species – Threats and opportunities”, was given by the LIONHARE scientific officer, discussed the main findings of the project on the effects of the invasion of silver-cheeked toadfish (Lagocephalus sceleratus) on coastal fisheries.
